Made in England by Joseph Wood & Co, Spurriergate, York.
 This instrument was used by the otologists (ENT) to examine the auditory canal : it includes an optical magnifying lens and a flared opening to allow the light in.
Delivered with 3 different diameter nozzles in a wooden box furnished with velvet and covered with black leather.
