The obverse shows the Swiss coat of arms on a shield surrounded by edelweiss, with the word HELVETIA at the top and the number 3832 and ARGOR 999.0 at the bottom.

The reverse features the words RESPUBLICA BERNENSIS (Republic of Bern) and the Bernese coat of arms, also on a shield.
