In very good condition, SUP quality (see table of abbreviations), struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Prussia's declaration of war against Napoleon Bonaparte, which gave rise to the Battle of Leipzig, from 16 to 19 October 1813, the largest battle in history before the 1st World War of 1914-18.
  Obverse: eagle attacking a snake and surrounding inscriptions DEUTSCHES REICH 1913 and * DREI MARK *.
  Reverse: King Frederick William III on horseback amidst an enthusiastic crowd. Underneath, 
the following inscription:
DER KÖNIG RIEF UND ALLE ALLE KAMEN -
MIT GOTT-FÜR KÖNIG UND VATERLAND

(Translation: The king called and all came. With God for King and Country)
 Edge: smooth with GOTT MIT UNS embossed on the edge.
