Edition with numerous engravings in and out of the text by the publishers J. Girard & Cie, Paris. All the volumes are in very good condition, but of course have some minor signs of use. Almost every book has a bookmark. The bindings are in red half-chagrin*, spines with four fine bands adorned with double gilt boxes embellished with gilt decorative motifs, publisher's name at the end of the spines, framed with cold fillets on the red boards.
* Half-chagrin binding: grey leather used only for the spines and not for the boards of the books.
